Cabin Boy
So I have had little to no motivation as of late for painting. No idea why..
But, that does not really stop me from ordering more models of course.. and this was one of those recent purchases. A Cabin Boy from the Ron and Bones collection. And I figured he would be a nice quick model to paint up to get me motivated back into painting once more! And he sure did do the trick!
As you can see, he is not the best painted and a bit rough around the edges, but I got to play around with some nice colors with him. And I really like how the wood works came out. Will have to remember how I did this for the future!
Let me know what you think as I try to shake off the jet leg from last week and get back into the normal swing of life once more!
If you have a Putty&Paint account, you can also vote for him here!
You have to give your mojo a rest every now an then, otherwise it jus' fades away.
ReplyDeleteNice wood !
Indeed. More so with all the work in my day job sapping my energy.. But this was a great little escape from the everyday indeed!
DeleteHe has a definite fuglie charm to him, good work!
ReplyDeleteHe does have that "hit with the whiffle bat" one too many times look to him don't he?
DeleteAre we talking about wood here? I would never say "Nice wood!" to a guy, sorry. But it does look good... :D
ReplyDeleteSo my wood looks good to you? I will take that as a compliment then ;)

What a great looking miniature.
ReplyDeleteI've got a couple of Ron & Bones figures but haven't painted any of them up yet. This guy looks great. Love the colours you used and the basing is very effective.
