Posting update..

So probably a few of you followers have noticed that I am not posting every work day at the moment.. and actually it will probably even slow down or become a bit more random now..

In the past I have been trying to post every day at noon Turkish time, however I have begun to feel the preasure of it. And so I have been painting all the easier targets and not really focusing on some of the other aspects of the hobby where I should be.

Also, I have recently found a forum ( albeit in German  even if the name of Brushbrothers doesn't show it ) that is to help its members improve their painting. Check it out if you are also interested in getting feedback and advice on how to improve. As this is something that really interests me. I mean, I do a lot of Table Top quality painting for commissions, and I am trying when time permits to paint better on my own models. What I think I need to do now is to begin to post more of my finished works once I have finished compared to posting up from the weekend and having them run throughout the week.

So look for more randomness from me in the future, but with less pre-prepped things, and more WIP, and on the go type of paintings! Am hoping to get more feedback also on the painting themselves and know where I can improve.

Ok, yeah.. well.. not really that big of a post, but something that will be seeing change on the blog so.. and am hopeful I will get the chance to work on some of my larger projects and items as well. Things like the busts I have been collecting, or some of the more special items like the Resin models I have been accumulating as of late.

Let's see what the future holds yes? In the meantime, I have spent a good portion of the weekend sorting through and trying to see what I have built/painted/not painted in my forces.. you can see the results below..

Sitting on a 2m x 1.44m table :) The boxes in the back left are full of terrain projects.  I think I have some painting of my own to do here :)

    1. NP Brummie.. great forum to check out indeed. And most of that ( thankfully ) is plastic or resin. Else I think the table would collapse!

  3. Looks like you've been busy, that's a mighty fine looking collection you have there. I usually blog every other day when I'm at work and occasionally when at home, about 12-13 posts a month is fine for me, but once I change jobs, I'll be lucky to get 1 a week out.

    1. Well in my last 2-3 positions I had the chance to blog daily, and work on items nightly. However now my work is getting a bit more hectic, and so posting or even trolling other blogs is getting more complicated. Travel is also killing a lot of my painting time too.. need to figure out a fine balance here though, and work from there. Good luck with the new job yourself though!

  5. I may have to brush up on my German....interesting Forum.

As for the display...wow, that is a huge collection.

I shudder to consider putting all my figs out on a table like that. I think I would need a larger table than what you had. How many hours did it take you to pull out everything and place it on the table?

    1. I use google translate for the german forums. Works a good portion of the time.

And actually this is, unfortunately, not everything. Just everything that I had on display already. Still have to go through the cupboards and boxes. That is another scary event to get through.

    2. Forgot to say.. was about 4 hrs to set it all up.. thankfully as most of it was on the shelves already.. but I suspect the cupboard work, and the archiving what I have will take significantly longer!

  6. That is an amazing table, I will say that.
I understand the pressures of keeping a regular schedule of posting all too well. My advice is to keep it at a pace that is fun for you. it's a blog about a hobby, its not supposed to become a chore!

    1. Thanks Michael. Just a "few" years worth of collecting here.. what is scary is some was bought and hauled over from Canada, while the other half was bought in the past 6-7 yrs!!

    1. I think my army needs to meet your army and see who is stronger ;) Even if most of mine fight with swords and shields :)

Just need to hire myself to paint my things so that they can actually get done ;)
