Bolt Action Imperial Japan
So although I have not had a lot of time lately to paint, I have done a bit of work here. I am really liking the direction these guys are going. I worked on the highlights and contrasts a bit further on them.
As stated in a previous post, I am using the new Scale 75 colors on these guys. And I am really liking the matte, dry look that they are bringing to the figures. Giving them that worn, old fashion look that I am aiming for on these guys.
There is still a ton of work to get them finish. I haven't touched the leggings nor shoes yet. And the weapons are still a bit rough atm. But the rest are getting to the point where I want them to be. Maybe a wash of yellow/orange is needed still.
Then once all finished I will add some foliage bits to it as well. Just to make them a bit more lived in.
So what do you all think of it? Going in the right direction or completely wrong direction here from a historical point of view?
In the meantime, enjoy the weekend. I am taking the family up to Nottingham to do some sight-seeing and check out EM-Con! Going to meet me some Red Dwarf actors ;) Pics to come next week you can be sure of that!
I like them. The color range absolutely fits. Good job my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate! Slowly getting there with them!
