Modern Diner from Aintsy's Castings
So this is the diner terrain pieces from Antsy's Castings that I got from The Angry Lurker a while back. He was raising money for Salute 2012, but I don't think I helped much as I got it for only 7 GBP plus shipping.
Again last Wednesday I took a hand at this, and getting it started.. I have added a lot of washes to it already, but not sure if this is the best approach to take with it.
Looking at the example from Ainsty's casting ( which I didn't do before painting ) they went for a very bright look. But not sure if that would fit with the broken and ruined version, so went with a bit more of a weathered style.
That being said, I might go back and do the tiles a bit differently. I also have set it up a bit differently than the example, but I think this leaves it a bit more open for game play? Maybe? Will see and play around with it more perhaps.
Overall, I liked the castings themselves. Although a bit rough in some spots, and a few broken pieces ( table stands, and salt shakers ) it was in good condition and easy to get started on it. I might need to look at other pieces to pick up and add to this building. Like maybe vending machines, or video arcades? Would go good in the shop?
Anyways, when I get around to putting the outside walls together I want to give it a proper name also. Names for the diner running through my head currently are the following:

- POP's - from Archie comics
- Cafe Diem - from Eureka
- Merlotte's - from True Blood
- The Hub - from That 70's Show
Leave a comment on which you think I should use, or if you have another idea on what I could name it leave it below also!

That's a nice bit of terrain Lee. How about calling it the "Eats, Shoots and Leaves."
